Javalinas

This is the book I bought while in Arizona last February. I read it to my Grade 4 class as an example of a take-off on "The Three Little Pigs" and the kids loved it. I highly recommend it as a great story as well as an educational insight into animals living in their own habitat.

  2. I've never even heard of a javelina until you and Dale mentioned it on Frannie's blog. Kinda cute and kinda ugly...reminds me of the warthog in the Lion King "Hakuna Matata"
Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase

Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze
It means no worries for the rest of your days
    It's our problem-free philosophy
    Hakuna Matata!

  3. A teacher's work is never done!! LOL. I had to chuckle..on vacation and still thinking of your students. Great book, I have not read it, but will look for it the next time I am in the bookstore. The bunny caught my eye..and I always try to give gifts and or cards that have bunnies on them.
