SANTA LIVES!
It has been a long, long time since the real Santa visited our family. But now that my grandson is just about 3 years old, we are all really into the season. The little guy is so excited about his upcoming visit to the jolly old soul, he's practising with his Mommy (my #1 daughter). He sits on her knee and says to her, "Now, Mommy, you be Santa." So Mommy says, "Ho, ho, ho! What do you want for Christmas?" "A yellow truck!" he proudly proclaims. The smile never leaves my face when I'm with him, thinking about him, or just looking at his picture. He has given me more joy than his parents can ever understand - that is until they have a grandchild, too. Christmas is going to be very jolly this year, indeed!
wow leslie, you don't even look that old to have known "the real santa." *lol* you've been holding out on us with your age, huh? *lol*
ReplyDeletei've sent karyce "laugh & learn baby grand piano" for her christmas present. i know she's going to love it. our grandchildren truly are so special, aren't they? my 7-yr old granddaughter is going to spend 2 days with me next week, so we're going to finally have our tea party.

Hi Sylvia! I know you're going to have a wonderful time with your granddaughter - I remember having tea parties with my own two girls when they were young. Congrats on finishing up your classes - at least until Jan! Rest up and have a wonderful holiday season.
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie,
ReplyDeleteJosie just filled me in on you trying to comment on my blog. I am sorry you are having problems. It is upsetting when we want to do something, but it doens't work.
I just read your widow blog. How is the book coming along? Blogland is so amazing, you learn so much about people! I wish you well with your book.
If you really wanted to get in contact with me you could always email me at neil.n.ellie@gmail.com. Just a thought for now, until Blogger is acting "nice" again.
