V is for VIEWS & VILLAGE

Since I did Vancouver for the ABCW home page, I thought I'd just show you a few of my favourite photos of places I've been in the world.  Of course, I've included a few from my own village, too!  I wanted to show you more shots of France and Italy, but I didn't have a very good camera when I was there (not a digital) so you'll have to make do with one shot of Giverny (in the rain) and one of Portovenere along the Cinque Terre in Italy.  The slideshow is set to the music "Epic Journey."

Very great thanks to the vivacious Mrs. Nesbitt, the creator of ABC Wednesday, and to the virtuous Roger, our administrator.  Also, thanks to the valiant team of helpers who visit all the posts to give valuable feedback to our contributors.

  4. I recall many of your UK photos, but I've never seen the Bow Church station. It's very unusual for an underground station. Very colourful and creative too. Thanks for your visit. Have a great week.

  10. I had to peer closely to discern that these were not paintings, but photos. I've been to several of the same places and viewing them this way was like a glorious re-visit to the gallery of my memories.

  21. I think colours on non digital are more vibrant. Lovely journey both home and away. Next time I'm in London I must make a trip to Bow Church station having seen your photo.

  24. What a beautiful slideshow and such good memories for you to see all these places again. I so much regret that digital cameras didn't exist when we travelled through the USA in the 80/90th for several years. Fortunately I have the videos !
