About Me

My photo
Delta, British Columbia, Canada
I took very early retirement from teaching in '06 and did some traveling in Europe and the UK before settling down to do some private tutoring. As a voracious reader, I have many books waiting in line for me to read. Tell me I shouldn't read something, and I will. I'm a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I'm looking forward to traveling more some day. I enjoy walking, cycling, water aerobics & and sports like tennis, volleyball, and fastpitch/baseball. I'm just getting into photography as a hobby and I'm enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. My family is everything to me and I'm delighted to be the mother of two girls and the Gramma of a boy and a girl. I may be a Gramma, but I'm at heart just a girl who wants to have fun.

SWEET DREAMS

Sweet Dreams

Metalxmonkey took this photo last night when Robbie was sound asleep in his Xmas basket. He sure took to this as his new bed and likes it way more than his kennel. We can now trust him to stay in it all night and not make a mess anywhere. Isn't he CUTE???? Like all children...when they're asleep. LOL

ARIZONA 2006

Here are some "people" shots from my trip to Arizona. First, the gang - clockwise from Dale the token male, me, Mary Rose, Suzanne, Cheryl, Lin. Then we have Suzanne with Lin, me with Lin, me out in the desert in front of Dale's place, and me playing with the cactus. :D Suzanne taught me a lot about cactus - like the jumping one. I walked near one and she almost freaked out! :D

ARIZONA 2006 Part Deux

Okay here we have Suzanne feeding the deer at the Grand Canyon, me playing with a saguaro this time (at night). Suzanne nearly freaked out when I touched the spines - she started screaming "Don't touch them - there's poison in them!" LOL Then here I am thrilled to death to finally see the Grand Canyon (but Man! was it COLD!), then fooling around on the ledge (Vicki - eat your heart out! LOL) and finally Suzanne and I enjoying a wonderful lunch at the 100-year-old lodge at Grand Canyon. (We ended up having to move to another table 'cuz it got too hot for us "hot chicks" by the fireplace.)
