About Me

My photo
Delta, British Columbia, Canada
I took very early retirement from teaching in '06 and did some traveling in Europe and the UK before settling down to do some private tutoring. As a voracious reader, I have many books waiting in line for me to read. Tell me I shouldn't read something, and I will. I'm a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I'm looking forward to traveling more some day. I enjoy walking, cycling, water aerobics & and sports like tennis, volleyball, and fastpitch/baseball. I'm just getting into photography as a hobby and I'm enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. My family is everything to me and I'm delighted to be the mother of two girls and the Gramma of a boy and a girl. I may be a Gramma, but I'm at heart just a girl who wants to have fun.

Fuschia's! I adore them. They are such a delicate flower. Lovely shot of its dangle in the wind.

I is for images.

I'll bet your grandson gets hours of enjoyment out of that little toy truck. It's the simple things that make us happy when we're young!

Leslie, I don't think you could have selected any that are more descriptive of the seasons. The colors in that fuchsia are awesome.

These are all great images from the different seasons. I love the winter one because the lighting is so spectacular. They are all beautiful but that's my favorite.

Lovely images, Leslie. You're right about the seasons there. Just a little bit of snow, not a lot. Makes me homesick.

Oh, that fuchsia is extraordinary! I love fuchsias and have forgotten how much I miss them until I saw this one. They don't do well here in NM.
Beautiful shot.

(I like the sound of certain words and "indicative" is one of them.) I enjoyed all of your images, but especially the sunset! It hit my funny bone that you included that image of your grandson's truck. Love of him and life. Great choices.
