A hot July day found myriads of people from young to old enjoying the
new playground, the beach, and the trails.
People were picnicking or barbecuing either on the sand or on the grassy
areas. Some people were in the water to
cool off, and some were either walking or biking on the trails. As I walked, I stopped to take photographs of
wild flowers, wild raspberry bushes in full bloom, the views from the top of
the lookout tower, and the various people enjoying the area.
This week, I’d like to share with you one aspect of the area and what I
photographed. I ambled along about half of the Dyke Trail and in weeks to
come, I’ll share other aspects of this area along with other areas to tempt one and all to come and

So many interesting Aspects to your view of Boundary Bay, Leslie. A few things that caught my Attention: raspberry blooms (I know it's ridiculous but I didn't know what they looked like), the variety of terrain, the trail stretching of to a vibrant blue sea, the cyclists and walkers enjoying themselves (as we have many times), and the brilliant colours in your fabulous flower shots. I was looking forward to this post (after your comment) and it sure did live up to my expectations :)

This is such a great way to explore the area with you and for you to organize your collection of photos. It was so easy to dive right in and enjoy the journey. :)
I marvel at your ability to expound at great depth on one word! Genius!
Love the green roof! Cool idea - very old idea, too. Sod roofs have been used for thousands of years to help with climate control.

I love the boardwalk trail and lookout as well as the the many wildflowers.

Thanks for the walk. From the nature with plants etc it might just as well have been from somewhere in Sweden!
There was a question flickering by with a yellow wildflower, to me it looked like Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare), I'm not sure though. Wiki says it's native to Europe and Asia but has been introduced to other parts of the world and in some areas has become invasive.

What great opportunities you have for nature and wildflower pictures, and you capture them beautifully. Thaks for the walk along the trail....
I applaud any community that puts in a walking trail like this one! How I'd love an amble along it myself ~ it's just beautiful! My favorite aspects are those wildflowers and grasses and views of the water.
The yellow button-looking flowers have me intrigued. I have no clue what they are, but they look like daisies that someone pulled all the petals off of! :-)
