About Me

My photo
Delta, British Columbia, Canada
I took very early retirement from teaching in '06 and did some traveling in Europe and the UK before settling down to do some private tutoring. As a voracious reader, I have many books waiting in line for me to read. Tell me I shouldn't read something, and I will. I'm a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I'm looking forward to traveling more some day. I enjoy walking, cycling, water aerobics & and sports like tennis, volleyball, and fastpitch/baseball. I'm just getting into photography as a hobby and I'm enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. My family is everything to me and I'm delighted to be the mother of two girls and the Gramma of a boy and a girl. I may be a Gramma, but I'm at heart just a girl who wants to have fun.

I hope this is as funny as it appears and not as sad as it might be construed. Wishing you well.

Wonderful pictures and caption, - thought at first it was a Walrus palm reading session that contained sad news....

Amusing caption! I really do wonder what they're thinking sometimes.

Brilliant picture of The Walrus and, if I read the caption correctly, it bears a very sad message, but I dearly hope not!

Leslie, having read your facebook page I too fear this is not a funny post but more a cry of bewilderment from a heavy heart. My thoughts are with you leslie, as ever!

I don't think most folks realize there is a cryptic message in your post today.

I hope everything is okay with you and your hubby. People care -- and worry.

What a smashing picture of that walrus! He looks as if he's holding forth on some deep subject or other, doesn't he?

Good question, Leslie... I do hope everything ends up okay for you - the same way I hope for myself..., I really admire you since the first time I visited your blog.

Kisses and positive vibes from Nydia.
