About Me

My photo
Delta, British Columbia, Canada
I took very early retirement from teaching in '06 and did some traveling in Europe and the UK before settling down to do some private tutoring. As a voracious reader, I have many books waiting in line for me to read. Tell me I shouldn't read something, and I will. I'm a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I'm looking forward to traveling more some day. I enjoy walking, cycling, water aerobics & and sports like tennis, volleyball, and fastpitch/baseball. I'm just getting into photography as a hobby and I'm enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. My family is everything to me and I'm delighted to be the mother of two girls and the Gramma of a boy and a girl. I may be a Gramma, but I'm at heart just a girl who wants to have fun.

FOR WOMEN ONLY

Now I lay me Down to sleep I pray the Lord
My shape to keep
Please no wrinkles,
Please no bags,
And please lift my butt before it sags.

Please no age spots, please no gray,
And as for my belly,
Please take it away.
Please keep me healthy, please keep me young,
And thank you Dear Lord for all that You've done.

Five tips for a woman....

1. It is important that a man helps you around the house and has a job.
2. It is important that a man makes you laugh.
3. It is important to find a man you can count on and doesn't lie to you.
4. It is important that a man loves you and spoils you.
5. It is important that these four men don't know each other.

You know, just to shake things up a bit, I just might post a blog of that e-mail I sent you today. (The one Kim the nurse sent me). What the heck, I've seen worse on other blogs.

The blogs have been very quiet lately. I may reconsider shutting mine down. I just feel I don't have anything interesting to say.

hi leslie,
this post is so cute and funny. thanks because now i don't feel compelled to go out and get plastic surgery for new boobs and a tummy tuck, a face lift, etc. this is the perfect song to go along with it because true love is accepting ourselves totally.

josie, i hope you don't take down your blog.
