About Me

My photo
Delta, British Columbia, Canada
I took very early retirement from teaching in '06 and did some traveling in Europe and the UK before settling down to do some private tutoring. As a voracious reader, I have many books waiting in line for me to read. Tell me I shouldn't read something, and I will. I'm a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I'm looking forward to traveling more some day. I enjoy walking, cycling, water aerobics & and sports like tennis, volleyball, and fastpitch/baseball. I'm just getting into photography as a hobby and I'm enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. My family is everything to me and I'm delighted to be the mother of two girls and the Gramma of a boy and a girl. I may be a Gramma, but I'm at heart just a girl who wants to have fun.

Sunny Spring

I've been enjoying the spring sunshine the past couple of days along with taking photos of the beautiful spring blossoms. Here are a few more I took yesterday and this morning. The coral tulip is in my garden and it opened up completely this morning. The green plant is my one and only tiger lily that is beginning to sprout. Soon it will have a lovely orange flower. The daffodils and the bright orange tulips in the pot were in the village mall and I just couldn't resist taking a few shots. Be sure to click on the photos to get the full effect.

Happy Vernal Equinox, everyone!

Leslie, your photos are just beautiful! They shout "SPRING IS HERE!".
Colour and sunshine welcome longer days and awakening of plant life.

Thanks for stopping by today. Daffodils I have, but none of your other spring lovelies. So beautiful and colourful. - Margy

Ah, what a visual treat to greet us with! You are pretty nifty with that camera of yours. Anyone who knows me will tell you Tiger Lillies are my absolute all time favourite flower, they always have been.

Hello Leslie... such beautiful flowers!! You guys always get the blooms so early and I remember visiting the coast as a younger girl from this cold, colorless area to such a different world!! It was so amazing!

The sun shines here now and it's warm when you are in it, but the shade is cold. The nights are definitely still chilly but the snow is melting. YAY.

Yes, I'm still working at that establishment and coming upon 2 years now. Problems do arise that puzzle me but it's all in my personal blog which I'm sure you had access to. I'm not sure. Let me know.

Hugs and kisses.

How lovely.. I need a gardener before I can show photos on here, I have no incentive to do this garden, one day maybe!
