About Me

My photo
Delta, British Columbia, Canada
I took very early retirement from teaching in '06 and did some traveling in Europe and the UK before settling down to do some private tutoring. As a voracious reader, I have many books waiting in line for me to read. Tell me I shouldn't read something, and I will. I'm a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I'm looking forward to traveling more some day. I enjoy walking, cycling, water aerobics & and sports like tennis, volleyball, and fastpitch/baseball. I'm just getting into photography as a hobby and I'm enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. My family is everything to me and I'm delighted to be the mother of two girls and the Gramma of a boy and a girl. I may be a Gramma, but I'm at heart just a girl who wants to have fun.

Britain's Got Talent- Connie

You have just got to watch this! Talk about natural talent that has even Simon Cowell almost speechless.

I'll be hanged that isn't the most beautiful vocal rendition of that song I have ever heard.

Exactly, twm! And as Simon Cowell said at the end, "She has absolutely perfect pitch."

What a sweetheart. Such a beautiful voice. Still . . . will she be able to remain so unspoiled and innocent and . . . little girlish if she wins? she's so young. I worry about her.

The man who won this was outstanding as well Paul Potts. His rendition of Nessum Dorma is almost equivalent to Pavarotti.
This little girl will someday be famous.

Thanks for this post for so many reasons ;- a) for sharing this beautiful young voice with us; b) for showing us an almost stunned into silence Simon Cowell and c) for introducing the Britain's Got Talent competition which seems to be handled with so much better taste and dignity than American Idol.

So true LGS...the American version has no taste at all.

Thanks Leslie for posting this, she is so sweet and such an angle.
