About Me

My photo
Delta, British Columbia, Canada
I took very early retirement from teaching in '06 and did some traveling in Europe and the UK before settling down to do some private tutoring. As a voracious reader, I have many books waiting in line for me to read. Tell me I shouldn't read something, and I will. I'm a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I'm looking forward to traveling more some day. I enjoy walking, cycling, water aerobics & and sports like tennis, volleyball, and fastpitch/baseball. I'm just getting into photography as a hobby and I'm enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. My family is everything to me and I'm delighted to be the mother of two girls and the Gramma of a boy and a girl. I may be a Gramma, but I'm at heart just a girl who wants to have fun.

DUMBEST CELEBRITY QUOTES

When I read these in the paper today, I thought I just HAVE to share them. They are hilarious.

From Brooke Shields: Smoking kills. If you're killed, you've lost a very important part of your life.
From George Dubyah: I have opinions of my own - but I don't always agree with them.
From Ivana Trump: Fiction writing is great. You can make up almost anything.
From Ted Turner: If I sold all my liabilities, I wouldn't own anything. My wife's a liability, my kids are liabilities, and I haven't sold them.
From Christina Aguilera: So, where's the Cannes Film Festival being held this year?

Gimme fame so I can say something like...living is fun when your having fun.

Idiots caught with the foot in mouth disease...got to love them for the break from reality they offer,

Peace

Leslie, these are hilarious! These folks definitely belong with the group in the Darwin awards.

"I have opinions of my own - but I don't always agree with them." And the man has been President of the United States for two terms. *shudder*

Leslie, I love the picture that goes with this post!!!

I'm trying to visit some blogs this morning while I'm at work. My dial-up is so slow at home.

I just want to know what the Queen of England and Prince Charles were laughing at. I have never seen either of them laugh before. It is surreal.
