About Me

I took very early retirement from teaching in '06 and did some traveling in Europe and the UK before settling down to do some private tutoring. As a voracious reader, I have many books waiting in line for me to read. Tell me I shouldn't read something, and I will. I'm a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I'm looking forward to traveling more some day. I enjoy walking, cycling, water aerobics & and sports like tennis, volleyball, and fastpitch/baseball. I'm just getting into photography as a hobby and I'm enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. My family is everything to me and I'm delighted to be the mother of two girls and the Gramma of a boy and a girl. I may be a Gramma, but I'm at heart just a girl who wants to have fun.

Last night I fell in love....

Falling in love is crazy; it's very physical; it’s when knees get weak and temperature rises. Love is calm, comfortable and mental.

Last night I fell in love. Well, it was a dream, but it felt so real.

I met someone through friends and there was an instant attraction. We chatted and he came to my place where we joked around laughing until we were both literally rolling on the floor.

I even saw his face. He was pleasant looking with a wicked smile and a teasing glint in his eyes. His thick hair was sort of dirty blonde turning greyish. He was of average build but tall at around 6 feet. He was a doctor. He told me why he decided to make medicine his life’s work, something about having sisters who were physically and mentally challenged.

In the next scenario, we were (separately) at some sort of function, and I saw him talking with other women but he did not come and talk to me. I was very disappointed, but realistically decided that I’d been mistaken about our previous connection.

The final scenario took place when I was helping out family and he arrived unexpectedly. I knew immediately that I was in love with him, but held myself back until he said he had something for me. He took me outside and presented me with a basket of hyacinths and lilacs.

I knew from the look on his face that he was in love with me and I jumped into his arms and held on for dear life. In my dream, I actually felt the warmth of his body and smelled the scent of his neck as we held on tightly to each other. That hug spoke to me of security, trust, and sharing that no words could ever express.

Then the alarm clock went off.

All morning during my drive into town for an appointment, I kept going over this dream. All the way home, I relived it. It was so real.

I’m feeling very lonely right now. I’m yearning for that feeling. Maybe it’s a prediction that I will in fact experience that kind of love in real life soon.

I hope so.

Thx Sally - I have been feeling a bit lonely lately - not without friends/family, etc. but you know that "special" feeling.

WC: well, I dunno...went to bed at regular time - no drugs/alcohol, etc. lol - but I hope I have the same dream again tonight - or an even better one.(*wink*)

Set your alarm for later tomorrow! You will find a man, just be sure you know you can tell him absolutely anything and that he will be your best friend! I was blessed with that kind of husband. You will be too!

Nancy I don't think I'll set it tonight and see where I end up! lol

I do hope you find that someone. Remember, sometimes God does choose to speak to us through our dreams.

What a wonderful dream!

Dreams that are so real, I think, have some real substance. Somewhere, a man woke up after dreaming of you, too. Your paths will cross. Keep your eyes open - Peace - D

I hope so too, leslie! And don't settle for anyone less that your dream.

I hate it when I get a really lovely dream (not often!) and I wake and desperately wnat to get back into it.

To dream of love of being in love, suggests intense feelings carried over from a waking relationship. It implies happiness and contentment with what you have and where you are in life. On the other hand, you may not be getting enough love in your daily life. We naturally long for the sense to belong and to be accepted.

If you dream you see a couple in love and expressing it to each other, this denotes that your present undertaking will meet with success. If you are expressing a true and tender love for another then it shows that you will find happiness and contentment in your life.

I choose to believe that dreams can come true. And I choose to believe that they will for you. Lovely story, Leslie.

Well, thanks everyone! I went to bed actually "trying" to get that dream back, but unfortunately I ended up in the classroom again! :(

I hope I'll recognize it if loves comes by - but I might have to be smacked up the side of my head it's been so long. :(

To sleep, perchance to dream . . . I've been there in the middle of a good one so real that it stuck with me all day. When you least expect it, the dream will come true.
