About Me

My photo
Delta, British Columbia, Canada
I took very early retirement from teaching in '06 and did some traveling in Europe and the UK before settling down to do some private tutoring. As a voracious reader, I have many books waiting in line for me to read. Tell me I shouldn't read something, and I will. I'm a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I'm looking forward to traveling more some day. I enjoy walking, cycling, water aerobics & and sports like tennis, volleyball, and fastpitch/baseball. I'm just getting into photography as a hobby and I'm enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. My family is everything to me and I'm delighted to be the mother of two girls and the Gramma of a boy and a girl. I may be a Gramma, but I'm at heart just a girl who wants to have fun.

U is for UNIQUE

Welcome to ABC Wednesday, Round 17, where this week we focus on the letter U for UNIQUE, which means rare, uncommon, different, exclusive, or individual.  I decided to take a look at some of my more recent photos that might be considered "unique" and share a few.
late afternoon shadows at Ladner Harbour Park (November 2015)

tin containers at Westham Island Herb Farm (October 2015)
reflection of winter trees in the river
Drag Queen Rooster
Tegan off to Dreamland

Uncommon thanks to the upstanding Denise Nesbitt, creator of ABCW, and to the upright Roger, our ubiquitous (in a good way) administrator.

HA! Melody's intro is UNIQUE as well. And this and hers have virtually NOTHING to do with each other.

Your photos are certainly unique and beautiful!
Thank for your visit. Your grandchildren do exactly the same thing as my children did. I hope that their children are like their mums.

Love those old milk cans. John gave me an old fire extinguisher that was used by the Powell River Fire Department way back. It held plain old water and had a hand pump to make it spray. A few parts are missing, but the aged large red container looks great behind the woodstove. - Margy
