About Me

My photo
Delta, British Columbia, Canada
I took very early retirement from teaching in '06 and did some traveling in Europe and the UK before settling down to do some private tutoring. As a voracious reader, I have many books waiting in line for me to read. Tell me I shouldn't read something, and I will. I'm a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I'm looking forward to traveling more some day. I enjoy walking, cycling, water aerobics & and sports like tennis, volleyball, and fastpitch/baseball. I'm just getting into photography as a hobby and I'm enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. My family is everything to me and I'm delighted to be the mother of two girls and the Gramma of a boy and a girl. I may be a Gramma, but I'm at heart just a girl who wants to have fun.

Happy That's a GREAT idea! Thanks. Actually the pattern almost looks like it's supposed to be sumpin. Have had you in my thoughts and prayers a lot lately. Brings back the memories of my own dear mother's departure. I have a photo of her on my dresser and I say "Hi" every time I look at it. The loss does ease after a while, knowing as I do that she is in heaven with other loved ones that went ahead of her/me. Hope to meet you some day. Lots of love and hugs are being sent out to you.

Me, too, Leslie -
You might not recognize my name, because I don't comment much. But I've been reading the blogs almost from the beginning and realized that though many others who went to MB had checked in, you hadn't!
I'm one of those thinking of going to Chicago and am anxious to read everyone's opinion of the 'soiree'.

Hi everyone - thanks for your interest in how things went for me at MB. I had a wonderful time and am very glad I went. Met lots of great women and one great man. :)

It's back to reality for me this morning as school beckons. But I'll try to post a few photos later.

Have a great day!

Hey Leslie,

Glad you are back safe and sound! I was getting worried about you too! So happy to hear you had a good time at MB. Anxious to hear all about it! : )

In the meantime ... don't work too hard! I had to work all weekend (well - I did get one day off) - and was boo hooing that I didn't get the nice 3-day weekend - like all of my colleagues. Good news is - the video we finished Sunday was previewed today by my clients at GE ... and there were no changes! That is pretty cool ... so kind of made up for not getting time off. And the new vid we started today is going really well - and we may finish early ... so maybe I can take off early this week instead. : )

You take care. Look forward to hearing from you soon - once you are settled back in. I'm like Nancy - sort of 'on the fence' about Chicago ... and would appreciate your input of your experience at MB.

Warm regards,

Brenda

It was so great meeting you in MB...I am honored to know you as a person and as a teacher of the children who will inherit your gifts to them :)....I know Robbie was so happy to see you..I went home a little early to get my pups...All of the ladies were so wonderful, but I really missed my babies :)...I still want to kiss Robbie's 'chops' every time I see his face, lol...
Peace,
