About Me

My photo
Delta, British Columbia, Canada
I took very early retirement from teaching in '06 and did some traveling in Europe and the UK before settling down to do some private tutoring. As a voracious reader, I have many books waiting in line for me to read. Tell me I shouldn't read something, and I will. I'm a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I'm looking forward to traveling more some day. I enjoy walking, cycling, water aerobics & and sports like tennis, volleyball, and fastpitch/baseball. I'm just getting into photography as a hobby and I'm enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. My family is everything to me and I'm delighted to be the mother of two girls and the Gramma of a boy and a girl. I may be a Gramma, but I'm at heart just a girl who wants to have fun.

I SPY WITH MY little EYE

Today's theme for the Saturday Photo Hunt, brought to you by tnchick, is I SPY. To sign in early, go to carver's site.

These photos have actually come in handy now because there was something in each one that you can't quite see, so they had been relegated to the files. See if you can find them in the following photos.

This is part of Cardiff Bay and you might be able to make out some sort of water fowl if you look carefully.

This is Stokes Bay across from the Isle of Wight and there is something around 2 o'clock. Can you tell what it is? (a solitary sailboat)

This is at Charlton Lake near Andover, England, and there's another type of water fowl here.

I think you can see what's up this telephone pole. What's strange is that we seem to have been inundated with these creatures this past year.

I just thought this was a fun shot of me in Cardiff by a shop. Check out all the things in the window and through the doorway. I loved the sign, "Wales the Happy Country," so had my friend take my photo. You can tell I didn't even mind that it was raining! (Oh and I've lost about another 10 lbs since then, too! :D)

I hope you enjoyed this little "I Spy" game and hope everyone has a great weekend.

So, I found the fowls in the pics, except for the 2 o' clock one in the sky! Your last pic was cute! I think I'm gonna have to do this hunt tomorrow or something when I'm not quit so tired and blurry eyed!

If anyone can help me to figure out how to make my photos enlarge when you click on them, I'd appreciate it. Sometimes it works but mostly it doesn't. It used to. HELP! It'd be easier on your eyes, too.

Well I'm afraid I did not see anything at 2 o'clock although I did see the rest. I don't know why the photos don't enlarge. Mine still do, touch wood.
Nice collection of photos for this theme.

I can't figure out the 2 o'clock one either - gotta give us a hint Leslie.

Love the stormy sky in the previous post -awesome!

Lesley,
I see the squirrel on the pole but nothing else.
When you take the photos do you have it set on your camera to full resolution? Or email. I have found when i set the camera to email or lower resolution my photos are small. and when i download to blogger it can't make them bigger. Not sure that is the problem but might check your camera out again.
I know i have some photos from an older camera that the pictures are small and won't get any bigger when they are clicked on. Just a thought.

Ah a squirrel on the telegraph pole! You certainly got to some great places in England and Wales. Then again there is so much to see that's not on the main tourist trails. Have a great weekend

I didn't see anything at 2 0'clock either--except maybe a sun break (takes a Pacific Northwesterner to know what that is.)

The photos will not enlarge to any bigger than they were when you loaded them. If you use a full sized photo, and make it smaller to fit the blog, then it will enlarge when you click it.

I usually size the photo resolution for webpage and what you see is what you get. It's a holdover from when I was on dial-up and it took forever. I guess if I had something that needed to be seen in a larger view, I would leave it full resolution so it could be clicked.

Loved it! My house was in Cardiff Bay - what a pity we didn't know each other then, Lealie!
