About Me

My photo
Delta, British Columbia, Canada
I took very early retirement from teaching in '06 and did some traveling in Europe and the UK before settling down to do some private tutoring. As a voracious reader, I have many books waiting in line for me to read. Tell me I shouldn't read something, and I will. I'm a happy, optimistic person and I love to travel and through that believe that life can be a continuous learning experience. I'm looking forward to traveling more some day. I enjoy walking, cycling, water aerobics & and sports like tennis, volleyball, and fastpitch/baseball. I'm just getting into photography as a hobby and I'm enjoying learning all the bits and bobs of my digital camera. My family is everything to me and I'm delighted to be the mother of two girls and the Gramma of a boy and a girl. I may be a Gramma, but I'm at heart just a girl who wants to have fun.

SHE'S HERE!

I am overwhelmed with JOY to announce the arrival of EDEN ELIZABETH, born at 10:00 am Monday, March 3, to Jamie and Jason and big brother Noah Brian. Gramma, Auntie Jaclyn, and Noah can hardly wait to see her this evening. Mommy, Daddy, and Eden are doing find after a C-section. Photos (lots, I'm sure) to come.

Thanks everyone. I'm so excited my heart is pounding and I wish I didn't have a student this afternoon. Oh well, it gives Jamie time to rest before we pounce on her and Eden. I love the name, too!

Hi Liz, yes Noah keeps saying I'm a big brudder. and he can hardly wait to see her and his Mommy, especially. He's being very good and right now has gone out with my younger daughter as I have a student coming after school for tutoring. Then we'll go to the hospital.

Congratulations. I am sure she is going to be a real blessing. I find my two grandchildren an absolute delight. Grandson lives around the corner, so we spend a lot of quality time together, but sadly granddaughter is in the Sudan, so there we spend skype time together.
